your feedback our latest news anniversary – nelft is celebrating 10 years as a foundation trust nelft celebrated its 10 th anniversary on friday 1 june. the organisation had previously been called nelmht (north east london mental health trust) before obtaining foundation trust status in 2008. nelmht was formed in 2001, when the mental health services that had previously been provided by several other nhs organisations were combined into one specialist mental health trust. nhs70 parkruns – events across the nelft localities to help mark the nhs’s 70th birthday, the nhs has teamed up with parkrun uk to jointly host nhs70 parkrun day on saturday 9 june. the parkruns were launched nationally by double olympic gold medallist dame kelly holmes and are totally free , 5km events that take place in hundreds of locations across the uk every saturday morning. they are coordinated entirely by volunteers and are open to walkers and runners of all ages and abilities. atrial fibrillation clinic to be rolled out across barking, havering & redbridge care city alongside the bhr provider alliance has committed to rolling out its atrial fibrillation (af) pathway across barking, havering & redbridge, working with local community pharmacies and hospitals to find and treat af and prevent strokes. nelft finance department achieves nhs future focused finance level 1 the nelft finance department received an accolade recently from the nhs finance leadership council (flc). the council awarded nelft future focused finance level 1 accreditation. currently, only nhs improvement and
